What to Expect;

A Visit to Lake Mburo and Semliki National Park to experience the best offerings these Parks have to offer before proceeding to the “Medley of Wonders” – Queen Elizabeth National Park the 2^nd Biggest in Uganda and home to about 95 Mammals. The Park is famously home to about 5000 Hippos, 2500 Elephants and 1000 Buffaloes. Its home to a healthy population of Lions, Leopards as well as Spotted Hyenas.

A leisurely Boat Ride along the Kazinga Channel to have a different angle to wildlife viewing in the Park and subsequently a night in the most scenic part of the country on Lake Bunyonyi which is the 2^nd deepest lake in Africa after lake Tanganyika before heading back to Kigali.

Itinerary.

Day 1:  Kigali International Airport + Transfer to Lake Mburo NP.

Your Trip starts with your arrival at Kigali International Airport where you will be met by our English-Speaking Guide then Transfer you to your hotel to rest for the remainder of the Night as you prepare for the long Drive to Uganda the next day. Your Guide will later in the morning pick you up at your Kigali Hotel, brief you about the Trip ahead then proceed to drive to the Border Point of Gatuna where you will be assisted in the simple Border crossing legalities and thereafter crossover into Uganda and start on the 4hr drive to Lake Mburo NP. You will then check in at the park and thereafter do a short Game Drive before heading to your Lodge for Dinner and the Night.

Activities: Airport + Uganda Transfer + Short Game Drive

Day 2:  Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Fort Portal City.

Your Day will start with relaxed Breakfast (6am) at your Lodge after which You will head into the Park for a morning Game Drive in search of the Famous BIG 5 like Elephants, African Buffaloes, Lions, Leopards not forgetting other fascinating Wildlife like the Rothschild Giraffe, Zebras, Bushbucks, Hippos, Spotted Hyenas among others. Your Guide will then exit the Park and start the Drive to Fort portal Tourism City where you will spend the Night.

Driving Distance: 4hrs

Activities:  Morning Game Drive + Transfer to Fort Portal City.

Day 3:  Sempaya Hot springs Experience (Semliki NP) – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.

You will have relaxed Breakfast after which you will check out of your Lodge and head to Semliki NP for the Hot springs Experience. The mythical, Surreal Sempaya Hot springs Experience are believed to be more than 1500 years Old and have temperatures of up to 100 Degrees Celsius and comprise of both Male and Female. They are also believed to have medicinal/Healing Properties. With Historical connotations to it regarding their formation and origin by the local Bamaga Tribe nearby, these Hot springs are a must see. After your Hot springs experience, your Guide will then drive you back to Fort Portal City for Lunch before heading to Queen Elizabeth NP where you will spend the Night.

Activities: Sempaya Hot springs Experience + Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.

Day 4:  Morning Game Drive + Kazinga Channel Boat Ride

Your Day will start with early Breakfast (6am) at your Lodge after which you will head into Queen Elizabeth NP for a Morning Game Drive in search of the early risers like Lions and Hyenas. Popularly known as the “ Medley of Wonders” , This 1,974 sq.km Park is not only Uganda’s 2^nd Largest but is also home to some of the biggest concentration of Lions, Elephants, Hippos and Buffaloes among the Parks in Uganda. After your Game Drive, You will return to your Lodge for Lunch then later to the Boat Dock for an early afternoon Boat Ride. Kazinga Channel, a 20 Mile long water Channel connecting Lake George to Lake Edward will play host to this amazing Experience. From Herds of Elephants, Schools of Hippos, Crocodiles, Various Antelope Species and beautiful Water Birds like the Shoebill Stocks ,Pelicans lined along the Channel banks, the attractions along this channel not forgetting the scenic beauty to top it all off cannot be underestimated.

You will then head back to your Lodge and relax the evening and Night.

Activities: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Ride.

Day 5: Transfer to Ishasha Sector (Queen Elizabeth NP)- Afternoon Game Drive.

Your day will start with an early Breakfast at about 6:00am after which you will proceed to drive further down South to the famous Ishasha Sector, check in at our Lodge for Lunch then head out for a half Day Game Drive in search of the TREE CLIMBING LIONS OF ISHASHA-The only place in the world other than Lake Manyara in Tanzania where you can find these Majestic Tree Climbing Cats. Expect also to see other Wildlife species like Herds of Elephant, Buffaloes and different types of Antelope. You will there after head back to your Lodge just in time for the beautiful Ishasha River Sunset for Dinner and Rest for the Night.

Driving Distance: 8 hours (Within the Park and inclusive of Game Drive)

Activities: Ishasha Sector Game Drive – Southern Queen Elizabeth NP

Day 6:  Morning Game Drive- Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

You will have early morning Breakfast before checking out of your Lodge and heading back out into the Park in search of more wildlife especially those endemic to this sector like the Topi as well as traversing some of the sectors we will not have visited the Day before. We will then head out and drive to South Western Uganda to Lake Bunyonyi  which is the deepest lake in Uganda and 2^nd deepest Lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyika. Here you will have Lunch as you enjoy the amazing scenic Views of the Lake after which you could visit the many small islands on the Lake by Boat including the famous “Punishment Island” where Girls who had got pregnant out of wedlock where abandoned and left to perish. The Lake and the Islands there in are home to more than 200 Bird Species making it a perfect haven for most Bird Enthusiasts.

Activities: Lake Bunyonyi Experience

Day 7:  Transfer back to Kigali

You will have a relaxed Day with mid-morning Breakfast and potentially Lunch at your Lake Bunyonyi Lodge. Your Guide will then start the drive back to Kigali via Gatuna Boarder where he will drop you off at your Hotel to Freshen up and change before heading to the Airport marking the end of your Trip with us at RITZ SAFARIS LTD.

Drive Time: 3 hours.

Meal Plan: Full Board.

Activities: Transfer back to Kigali
