What to Expect;

Expect to crisscross the Rwandan countryside from Southern to Eastern Rwanda. Encounters with Rwanda’s Chimpanzees on a Trekk into Rwanda’s and Africa’s Oldest Montane Tropical Rain Forest –Nyungwe National Park then Drives through Green Tea Plantations, a Canopy Walk Hiking Experience and a Cultural excursion at the King’s Palace Museum (Last home of the Rwandan Kings) before going East to Akagera National Park through Kigali in search of the African Big 5 (Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Rhinos, Buffaloes and other Savannah Adopted Species like Giraffes will leave every Traveler to Rwanda yearning for more. A Truly all round Touristic serving in such a short Time.

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera NP + Half Day Game Drive.

You will have early Breakfast and at about 6am, set off for Akagera National Park-the Largest and only Savannah NP in Rwanda. This Park which is approximately 1,122 sq. kms in size is the largest protected wetland in Africa and is home to Africa’s and Rwanda’s last Savannah adopted species.

There will be a short coffee stopover at Imigongo Cafe before proceeding to the Southern Entrance of the Park where you will check-in.

We will there after drive to the Southern plains of the Park for a short game drive in search of Wildlife like Lions, Elephants and Giraffes, Zebras, Different Antelope Species resident there. We will then return to the Lodge for Late Lunch. You will thereafter rest at the Lodge, in your Rooms or by the Poolside with a view of Lake Ihema. Later in the evening ,you will head out for a Sunset Boat Cruise on Lake Ihema where you will see some of the rich Aquatic life like Hippos, Crocodiles, Birds as well as other Wildlife coming down to the Lake to drink Water. You will thereafter head back to your Lodge for Dinner and the Night

Driving Time: 3 hrs- Exclusive of Game Drives.

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner + Snacks & Soft Refreshments.

Activities: Transfer to Akagera NP, Half Day Game Drive + Boat Ride

Day 2:  Full Day Game Drive- Northern Akagera Sector.

Your 2^nd Day in Akagera NP will start with Breakfast at around 6:00am at your Lodge. By 7am, armed with your Packed Lunch, you will then head to the Northern sector of Akagera NP in search of more Wildlife like Lions, Elephants and Giraffes predominant there. You will have your packed Lunch in the Kilala Plains before continuing to cover more of the Northern Loops in search of the Big 5. We will therafter exit the Park through the Northern Gate and drive back to Kigali marking the end of your Safari with us.

Driving Time: 8 Hours including Game Drives.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Packed Lunch & Snacks & Soft Refreshments

Activities: Full Day Game Drive + Transfer back to Kigali

Day 3: Kigali- Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

You will have relaxed Breakfast at around 8am after which your Guide will brief you about the Trip ahead. You will head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a 1^st hand sneak peek into the History that has shaped modern Rwanda starting with the 1994 Rwanda Genocide against the Tutsi Ethnic Group. You will thereafter proceed to drive to the north of Rwanda Musanze where you will have Lunch before heading to visit the Diane Fossey Museum & Campus. While there, you will learn about the amazing Gorilla Conservation story in the Virunga Ranges spearheaded by the iconic Diane Fossey. You will then head to your Lodge for Dinner then rest the Night away in preparation for the next day’s activities.

Activities: Kigali Genocide Memorial & Diane Fossey Museum Experience.

Day 4: Volcanoes NP (Gorilla Trekking Experience) – Transfer back to Kigali

You will have early Breakfast at around 6am then proceed to drive to the Park Reception in Kinigi at the Park Reception for Briefing. You will then be assigned a Group and Gorilla family to Trekk for the day after which you will be driven to your starting Point and enter into the Jungle in search of the elusive Gentle Giants. The Trekk takes between 2-6 hours depending on where the Family is feeding from for the Day. Gorilla Trekking by far is still every Traveller’s Dream Experience and caps off what must always be an amazing African Safari Experience. After a successful Gorilla Trekking Experience, we will then head for Lunch then drive back to Kigali where you will check in at your Hotel, freshen up and rest for a while. Our Guide will then pick you up at your Hotel then you will head to the Airport for your flight back home marking what will have hopefully been a memorable experience with us.
