What to Expect;

Expect an amazing Road Trip through Village Towns, Picturesque, and scenic Countryside Landscapes all the way from the Capital City-Kampala up North to this gigantic Park measuring about 3,840 Square Meters before flying further North to Kidepo Valley NP named the 2^nd Best Park in Africa by CNN Travel. A detour to a Rhino Sanctuary enroute where you will track these prehistoric Creatures in their wild natural habitat on foot makes this particular Safari a unique one as it’s the only one you would be able to see all of Africa’s Big 5 including the Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes but also the Rhinos.

An encounter with Uganda’s Premium Primates in Kibale Np for Chimpanzees and Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable NP before flying to the Source of the River Nile in Jinja for Bungee Jumping and White Water Rafting prior to your Flight back home would be the best way possible to cap off an amazing Uganda Safari

Itinerary

Day 1:  Shoe bill Stork Tracking and Birding Experience

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning after breakfast, in Entebbe and transfer to Mabamba Swamp for bird watching.

This is the best place to spot the rare, pre historic looking shoebill Stork also known as the Whale bill stork. It takes about an hour by road via Nakawuka – Kasanje. You will head for a half day, private boat excursion; the wetlands are home to a variety of different bird species.   A canoe ride through papyrus swamp will take you at the best spot of spotting the Shoebill bird among other rare Africa birds like the Malachite Kingfisher, Swamp Flycatchers, African Purple Swamphen, African Water Rail, Common Moorhen, Lesse Jacana, African Jacana, African Pygmy Goose, White faced whistling duck,, Squacco heron, Blue reasted Bee eater, African Jacana, and Saddle – billed Stork, among others. You will spend the day, bird watching and searching for the shoebills, on a lucky day, you will finally, land on them, watch them as they hunt, for food. You will there after return back to your Lodge in Kampala and rest the Night prior to your long Trip ahead.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls NP + Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary Experience.

Your Trip will starts from the Airport where your English Speaking Guide will meet you, Brief you before driving you to your Hotel in Entebbe or Kampala to rest after which you will be picked up in the morning by 6am. Your Guide will brief you about the Trip ahead after which you will start your Drive to the North of Uganda. A 6hr Drive to one of the Oldest and Largest Savannah Parks in the Country- MURCHISON FALLS NP. This Park and the powerful 40M High Falls within, named after the British Explorer Sir Roderick Murchison are a premier Destination in Uganda and receive the most number of Tourists averaging about 60,000 Guests a year is home to 4 of Africa’s Big 5. You will have a stopover at the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will be able to Track these Pre Historic looking Creatures on foot accompanied by armed rangers. You will thereafter proceed to Murchison Falls National Park with a Lunch Stopover in Masindi Town before entering the Park and checking in at your Lodge for the Night and Dinner.

Day 3: Half Day Game Drive, Murchison Falls Bottom of the Falls Boat Ride and Top of the Falls Hike.

Your Day will start with an early Breakfast after which you will head into the Park for a morning Game Drive in search of the Famous BIG 5 like Elephants, African Buffaloes, Lions, Leopards and Rhinos not forgetting other fascinating Wildlife like the Rothschild Giraffe, Bushbucks, Hippos, and Spotted Hyenas among others. You will crisscross the Park’s vast plains in search of wildlife with packed Lunch in the Park on one of the Picnic sites. You will then return to your Lodge for Lunch before heading out to the Boat Dock where you will have a leisurely sunset Boat Ride while you sip on a glass of Wine, Whiskey or a cold Local Beer to the bottom of the falls through schools of Hippos, enormous Nile Crocodiles as well as Herds of Elephants grazing by the River Bank. You will therafter driving to the Top of the falls where you will enjoy amazing top of the Falls Views with more than 300 Cubic Metres of Water squeezing through a 7 Meter Gorge before splashing 43 Metres down the cliff. A truly captivating spectacle that makes Murchison Falls Np stand out.

Activities: Half Day Game Drive, Murchison Falls Bottom of the Falls Boat Ride and Top of the Falls Hike.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive- Air Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park.

You will have early Breakfast after which you will check out of your Lodge and head out for a Morning Gam Drive in Murchison Falls NP to catch a glimpse of some of the early risers of the Park. You will thereafter head to the Airstrip for your private Flight to Kidepo Valley National Park. Dubbed the 2^nd Best Destination Park in African by CNN in 2018, Kidepo Valley NP one of the most beautiful Parks in Uganda. This small Park nestled in between the rugged Hills of Northern Uganda is home to perhaps the most diverse wildlife serving more than any other Savannah Park in the Country. From the Big 5, to the smaller wildlife species like Zebras, Giraffes, various Antelope Species all in healthy population numbers, Kidepo is truly a different experience all together. Here you will do a full Day Game Drive through the Park before retiring to your Lodge for Dinner and the Night.

Activities: Air Transfer to Kidepo NP + Full Day Game Drive

Day 5: Morning Game Drive- Air Transfer to Fort Portal.

You will have early Breakfast after which you will check out of your Lodge and head out for a morning Game Drive. You will thereafter head to the Airstrip for your private Flight to Fort Portal Tourism City. Named after the British Colonial Governor Sir Gerald Portal- This amazingly beautiful City will be your Home for the Night.

Drive Time: 4 Hours (Game Drive Time)

Activities: Kidepo NP morning Game Drive + Air Transfer to Fort Portal Tourism City

Day 6: Sempaya Hot springs Experience- Semliki national park.

You will have relaxed Breakfast after which your Guide will drive you to Semliki National Park for the Sempaya Hot springs Experience. These mythical, Surreal Sempaya Hot springs are believed to be more than 1500 years Old and have temperatures of up to 100 Degrees Celsius and comprise of both Male and Female. They are also believed to have medicinal/Healing Properties. With Historical connotations to it regarding their formation and origin by the local Bamaga Tribe nearby, these Hot springs are a must see. After your Hot springs experience, you will return to your Lodge for late Lunch and relax the rest of the afternoon away by the Pool side or in your Cottage.

Activities: Sempaya Hot Springs Experience- Semliki National Park.

Day 7:  Chimpanzee Trekking Experience- Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.

Kibaale’s most popular activity is the Kanyanchu Primate Walk. Thirteen species can be sought, and a good variety of diurnal monkeys invariably encountered, but the stars of this twice-daily show are chimpanzees which you will embark on tracking and finding. After your early morning Breakfast, your Driver Guide will proceed to drive you to the Park Reception for briefing after which you will head into the Jungle in search of the Great Apes that total about 1500 in Kibale NP (The highest concentration of Chimpanzees in one place World over).

Chimps are not gentle like Mountain Gorillas. Once you are their midst, expect a lot of Drama and Activity. You will watch them look for food, breastfeed, Groom each other and Mate. You may even witness Fights between members of the Group or larger Males. Like we Humans Each Chimp has a unique personality and Behaviour. Some are quite, others shy while others love Bullying. Like Humans there are Group dynamics and Politics. All this and much more including close to 354 Bird Species you will be able to see before exiting the Park.

You will thereafter drive to the Bigodi Community Tourism Centre for a community Experience where you will have 1^st hand experience of Ugandan Village/Local Life before proceeding to Fort portal City for Lunch and subsequently to Queen Elizabeth NP where you will check in at your Lodge for the Night.

Activities: Chimpanzee Trekking, Bigodi Community/ Cultural Excursion+ Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.

Day 8:  Queen Elizabeth morning Game Drive + Kazinga Channel Boat Ride.

Your Day will start with early Breakfast (6am) at your Hotel after which you will head out for an early morning Game Drive in search of Africa’s Big 5 especially the early risers like Spotted Hyenas and Lions. You will thereafter traverse the plains of the Park in search of more wildlife before returning to your Lodge for Lunch. You will therafter head back out to the Boat Dock for an afternoon/sunset Boat Ride on Kazinga Channel. Kazinga Channel, a 20 Mile long water Channel connecting Lake George to Lake Edward will play host to this amazing Experience. From Herds of Elephants, Schools of Hippos, Crocodiles, Various Antelope Species and beautiful Water Birds like the Shoebill Stocks ,Pelicans, King fishers like the Pied and woodland King Fishers lined along the Channel banks. The attractions along this channel not forgetting the scenic beauty to top it all off cannot be underestimated.

You will then head back to your Lodge and relax the evening and Night.

Activities: Queen Elizabeth NP morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Ride.

Day 9:  Transfer to Ishasha Sector – Southern Queen Elizabeth NP.

Your day will start with an early Breakfast at about 6:00am after which you will proceed to drive further down South to the famous Ishasha Sector, check in at our Lodge for Lunch then head out for a half Day Game Drive in search of the TREE CLIMBING LIONS OF ISHASHA-The only place in the world other than Lake Manyara in Tanzania where you can find these Majestic Tree Climbing Cats. Expect also to see other Wildlife species like Herds of Elephant, Buffaloes and different types of Antelope. You will there after head back to your Lodge just in time for the beautiful Ishasha River Sunset for Dinner and Rest for the Night.

Driving Distance: 8 hours (Within the Park and inclusive of Game Drive)

Activities: Ishasha Sector Game Drive – Southern Queen Elizabeth NP

Day 10:  Morning Game Drive- Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP (Buhoma)

You will have Breakfast at your Lodge at about 7am after which we will check out and proceed back into the Park for a morning Game Drive in search of more Wildlife that we might not have seen the Day before. After combing through the Parks vast plains, we will the head out and proceed to drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-BUHOMA SECTOR where we will have late Lunch and rest the afternoon away in preparation for Gorilla Trekking the next Day.

Activities: Morning Game Drive-Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP.

Day 11:  Bwindi Impenetrable NP (Buhoma) –Gorilla Trekking.

Your Day will start with an early Morning Breakfast (6am) then your Driver Guide will drive you to the Park Office for Briefing. Buhoma Sector is the Oldest Trekking Sector in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with some of the Families having been trekked as far as 25years ago with this Park itself being home to half of the entire World Gorilla Population. You will embark on a path down into the Jungle in search of these elusive Gentle Giants taking between 2-6 hours before you can find them…The ultimate Traveller’s Experience in Africa without a doubt. You will thereafter return to your Lodge for Late Lunch and rest the afternoon.

Activities: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Day 12:  Bwindi Impenetrable NP (Buhoma) – Jinja Airstrip (Jinja District).

You will have early morning Breakfast at 7am before preparing for the Drive and subsequent Flight from Kihihi Airstrip by 8:45am to Jinja Airstrip. From there, your Driver Guide will pick you up and proceed to drive to Jinja. 

You will then have a brief tour the City considered to be the Oldest Industrial Town in Uganda as well as the source of the Nile before checking in at your Lodge (Haven Eco Lodge) for Lunch. You will there after head out for your water activity of the day- FAMILY RAFTING which takes 1-3hours after which you will return to your Lodge for evening and Dinner.

Drive Time: 2 hours.

Activities: Family Rafting + Jinja City and Source of the Nile Tour.

 Day 13: Jinja –Transfer to Entebbe.

You will have relaxed Breakfast after which your Driver Guide will begin your Transfer from Jinja back to Entebbe. You will do short stopovers along the Jinja-Kampala High way at Mabira and Sezibwa Falls where you will see a lot of Bird Species, Baboons as well as the rare red tailed Monkey before proceeding to drive to Entebbe through the Capital- KAMPALA. You will then check in at your Hotel in Entebbe for a few hours of refreshment and relaxation by the Pool Side or a walking Tour of Entebbe City or a nearby Market after which your Guide will drop you off at the Airport for your Flight back home marking the end of your Safari with us.
